NYC Parking Structure Inspection Cycles Explained

The NYC Administrative Code §28.323 outlines mandatory inspections for parking structures within a six-year cycle, ensuring structural safety and compliance with city regulations.

Cycle 1 (2022-2027):

  • The inspection cycle began on January 1, 2022, and ends on December 31, 2027.
  • Inspections are divided into three sub-cycles based on community districts (CDs):some text
    • Sub-Cycle 1A: Manhattan CDs 1–7 (2022–2023)
    • Sub-Cycle 1B: Remaining Manhattan CDs and Brooklyn (2024–2025)
    • Sub-Cycle 1C: Bronx, Queens, and Staten Island (2026–2027)

Building owners are required to file inspection reports within their designated sub-cycle filing window. Failure to comply may result in penalties.
